Ever since I first saw the Goodies episode about their Pirate Radio Station (Radio Goodies) the idea of life outside the nautical legal limit has seemed fascinating.
So, this post on Today I Found Out about the tiny nation of Sealand brought back that memory.
Instead of a row-boat topped submarine (a la the Goodies) this is an abandoned naval sea fort.
The story of Sealand includes occupation, an invasion, a war of liberation and more.

No man is an island, but one family can be a nation on an ocean based platform.
