Imagine if the most important message that ever existed had been shared with you.
And you failed to pay heed.
How great would the cost be for failing to pay attention to the best news ever?

Psalm 14 (Within His Heart The Fool) and As The Deer are songs of preparation before worship begins singing Great Is Your Faithfulness.
Our call to worship will be a responsive reading from Revelation 15:3-4, and after the prayer of confession we’ll confess and affirm our faith with Before The Throne Of God Above, Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 60, and Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.

From Jeremiah 38:1-28, Jeremiah is cast into a cistern, rescued by the King’s servants, and again he speaks counsel to the King.
We’ll prepare for the preaching of the Scriptures singing Speak, O Lord, then hear Hebrews 2:1-4 and consider the important counsel of Scripture about our accountability with the Gospel we’ve received.

After our pastoral prayers, we’ll give our tithes and offerings, receive a final blessing then conclude worship singing Just As I Am.

Hi Gary – totally unrelated but do you know where the National Assembly was held this past week? Was it St Peter’s PC in Sydney? (Sorry – need it for a sermon illustration…).
Also, do you know if there are any shots of inside Assembly (much as i love your selfies, I was looking for more of a shot of around the room :-o).

    Cheers.

    Pete.

      Chinese Presbyterian Church, Surry Hills.
There’s a couple of room shots in my post about opening night.
All my whole room shots are from the balcony at the back.
Wasn’t able to take a pic from the front looking back.
Some time or another I hope to curate an album of shots.

awesome! Just what I was looking for (both the answer and the pics). Cheers. Hope you don’t mind too, but I’m also using your idea with HC Q60 tomorrow – fits beautifully with Colossians 4 and my sermon I just finished… a boon from the Lord!

Many blessings for the Lord’s day for you tomorrow Gary.

        Pete.
