When a trip home to Mount Gambier from Sydney involves a five day stop over in Hervey Bay.
Events last year left me with a conviction that getting to see my mother needed to happen at least one or two times a year.
So, if service to the Presbyterian Church gets me well over half-way there, going the rest of the way becomes a no brainier.
Many thanks to a supportive church family who’d be cross if I didn’t do this, and to my own family of whom this is simply and unquestionably their own show of love for my Mum.
Today’s trip involves a transfer in Brisbane. Even though a Sydney thunderstorm has delayed us by an hour or so, the connecting flight should be okay.
Now, to travel backward in time one hour.
