Last week’s tragedy in the US saw many Christian commentators make reference to an atrocity against infants, referenced in Matthew Chapter 2, and instigated by King Herod.
I had this link to a an interview with Paul Meier at Desiring God which provides some background to the historical figure who desired to be known as Herod the Great.
It won’t come as any surprise to learn the death of the innocents can scarcely be considered as his worst act of evil.
