On Saturday night Ben and Elijah will be watching the All Blacks play.
I’ll be doing my patriotic duty and watching Australia.
I read this joke on Rob Duncanson’s Facebook feed.
He got it from some other friends.
It’s pretty funny.
Sometimes (often) my son-in-law gets in trouble for the jokes he tries to tell.
Not this time.
This if for you, Ben.

The All Blacks were at training in preparation for the upcoming match against the Wallabies when Richie McCaw pulls the team aside and says “Look boys, we’re doing pretty good at the moment, and you guys have all worked really hard, so I think I’m gonna give you the weekend off. I’ll take on the Wallabies by myself.
A couple of the guys look at him and say, “No way, bro, you
can’t take ’em on by yourself! They’ll smash you.”
“It’s ok,” Richie replies, “afterall, it’s only the Wallabies.”
So the rest of the team agree and wish him well.
That weekend the All Blacks are all enjoying their time off and having a few drinks at the pub. At half-time they decide to check the score: 7-0 to the All Blacks. “Sweet!”
They carry on drinking and later on they check the score again: Full time 7-7. They all head off to the stadium to congratulate Richie on an unbelievable feat, but when they get there Richie has his head in his hands and is inconsolable.
“But Richie,” they say “you took them on by yourself and managed to draw the game. That’s awesome!”
“Yeah, maybe,” responds Richie, “but I feel like I let you all down….. If only I hadn’t got sent off with 20 minutes to go”
