Set apart for ministry at mgpc on the evening of March 15, 2003, March 16 is the first full day of each succeeding year.
I couldn’t have imagined a more satisfying way to spend the first day of my tenth year here.
A funeral for a loved senior member, the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman.
A circumstance marked by sadness, but not a single regret.
The expectation and encouragement from her family that the Gospel had to be clearly presented in the service.
Watching mgpc welcome and cater to her family and their two or three hundred guests for the funeral and a very lavish afternoon tea.

It occurs to me with Easter and two funerals in the last week that I’ve been involved in nine services over the last twelve days.
In the words of Forrest Gump: ‘I’m pretty tired… I think I’ll go home now.’
For today, at least.

“Nine services over twelve days” no wonder the start of April slipped by. Go home and rest faithful servant.
