Any time an Australian Presbyterian pastor resumes blogging is good news.
Scott Kroeger has given us two posts in three days.
Pop over to his blog and encourage him.
In the latest of his posts he notes twelve things a pastor wants to hear.

There are some things that will delight a pastor to hear from a member or attendee of their congregation.  The sad thing is that a number of people never think to ask things or make the kinds of comments that will fire up a minister.  People tend to think that their pastor is too busy for such things, when the exact opposite is true.  Below are twelve things that will get your pastor’s juices going and put a smile on his face:

  1. Pastor, do you have any good books on…?
  2. What time is the prayer meeting on?
  3. Can I spent time with you and have you mentor me?
  4. Pastor, I just phoned you to tell you how much I appreciate you and your ministry.
  5. Pastor, what does the Bible say about…?
  6. I have this friend who is interested in Jesus, will you go with me?
  7. Pastor, can you help me learn how to witness to other people?
  8. Pastor, let me do that…
  9. Pastor, I have an idea for a new ministry I would like to try…
  10. Pastor, will you pray with/for me?
  11. I want to become a member of your church…
  12. What can I do?

(The thirteenth is ‘I was reading on your blog…’)
