The Reverend Professor Doctor Francis Nigel Lee lectured Systematic Theology, Church History and other subjects at the Queensland Theological Hall, inclusive of the time during which I was a student there.

In September 2011, Dr Lee was diagnosed with incurable Motor Neurone Disease, alias Amytropic Lateral Sclerosis or Lou Gehrig’s disease.
At 7.50 am Friday 23rd December, 2011, Nigel Lee was taken peacefully to his Lord.
I am sure there will be a more complete tribute to this fascinating and loyal servant of the Lord published in the near future.

I was heartbroken when I heard of this. He is a great man of God, my friend & mentor. He was on my mind a lot lately. I wish I had communicated with him when he came to mind. He has crossed over the river to rest in the shade of the trees (per Stonewall Jackson). God bless you, Dr. Lee. Give our regards to God. We will see you again on the other side of eternity.
Glad that I read this important news. Nigel and I were schoolboy friends. Beat me by two points for the English prize in the eighth year! Thrilled to hear his testimony of conversion down a goldmine during his reading the NT when a rockfall temporarily trapped them. Table Mountain and Kalk Bay Caves were shared adventures. I was stunned and greatly saddened to hear of Dr. Lee’s illness and subsequent passing. He was a great and challenging mentor to my husband when Dr. Lee was a professor at Shelton College. He was a genuine “outside of the box” thinker and stretched both of us re. the sovereignity of God and His rule over all of His creation. Who will rise up in his stead?
