For those of you who don’t mind a bit of theological interaction, the Engaging Church blog has helpfully summarised a recent online theological interaction:
Reformed theologian Michael Horton recently posted an in depth review of Scot McKnight’s The King Jesus Gospel. Though he leveled a number of criticisms, his review was thoughtful and gracious, and provided an excellent overview of the issues raised in the book.
Since his review went up, both Michael Bird and Scot McKnight have written detailed responses which push back a bit on Horton’s critique, and in the process end up clarifying some important points of disagreement between these three scholars.
An excellent example of theologians engaged in thoughtful dialogue, rather than polemics.
