KJV stands for King James Version (of the Bible) and last Friday night at mgpc we watched the DVD ‘KJV – The Book That Changed The World.’
It’s a very good presentation. Extensive dramatic period reenactment is mixed with insightful commentary from historians and bound together by the sublime narration of presenter, actor John Rhys-Davies.
(How cool is it you can google ‘KJV’ and ‘Gimli’ and come up with the DVD’s website.)
There’s drama, humour, information and an invitation to reflect on the historical circumstance by which a translation of the Bible initiated by King James came to be the greatest piece of literature in the English language.
My colleague Ian found this, by the way.

Here’s a video trailer on YouTube.

I’m sure that Koorong will be stocking it before too long if you’re wary of buying from overseas. Well worth purchasing a copy.
