At mgpc we celebrate communion / Lord’s Supper once a month. To conclude those services a song that touches on the fulfilment of the saving work of the Lord Jesus is usually sung.
This morning we sang Mark Peterson‘s ‘See Him Coming’. Lots of people liked it. I like it too.
Here’s the lyrics.
1. Glory and power to the One who loves us
Honour and praise him forever
Come Lord Jesus, Come Lord Jesus
2. Glory and power to the One who freed us
From all our sins by his blood
Come Lord Jesus, Come Lord Jesus
Chorus
See him coming on the clouds of heaven
Every eye behold him now
He’s the Living One the first and last
Who once was dead, but now he lives
forever and ever.
3. Glory and power to the One who made us
A kingdom and priests for God’s service
Come Lord Jesus, Come Lord Jesus
Chorus
Bridge
Jesus is the living one
Who died and came alive
Jesus is Almighty Lord
Who was, and is to come! (x2)
Chorus

Two versions.
This one from Peterson’s album ‘When We See You.’
This one from Garage Hymnal.
Dear Mark:
The words of the song “See Him Coming” are truly precious and vivid.
Great are the melodies in both versions of the song. I would like to acquire CD’s. Kindly advise.
Keep on writing in His Name.
