David Robertson is attempting to blog proceedings from the Plenary Assembly of the Free Church of Scotland, at which the issue of changes to that denomination’s standards with regard to song and instruments is being considered.
His hourly updates are an interesting insight into a process where a number of people, who hold varying shades of understanding on an issue not central to the Gospel, but are all committed to biblical authority, are striving to consider the merit of change while also seeking to preserve both unity and the exercise of conscience.
