Kryptonite is the radioactively charged fragments of Superman’s exploded home planet Krypton. The radiation only affects Kryptonians, with extended exposure resulting in fatality.
To suggest that ‘chocolate is so-and-so’s kryptonite’ would suggest that prolonged exposure to chocolate would result in their death.
It would really only make sense if kryptonite affected Superman by making him want to eat every piece that he encountered and then end up with a stomach ache as a result.
