It was the movie ‘Brother, Where Art Thou?’ that introduced me to the phrase “Dumber than a bag of hammers”. That’s what comes to mind when I see something like this:

When Zachary’s family has to move, he must leave his friends and his church choir, which has qualified for the state championships behind. At first he feels out of place in his new school, but things begin to look up when he starts to make friends and is invited to join the local choir. His old friends question his loyalty, but when their church is faced with a struggle to keep it’s doors open, Zachary knows that he can find a way to bring everyone together and his friends to realize their dreams.

It mightn’t be so bad but for the blatant attempt at pop-culture relevance.
