Over the last week jostlings about political legacy have brought the names Hawke, Keating and D’Alpuget back into the public spotlight.
One other central name, Hazel Hawke, is no longer able to present her own perspective, she has advanced dementia.
I didn’t know anything about Sue Pieters-Hawke apart from the fact she came from a pretty famous family.
But this opinion piece about her mother and some of the issues raised by a soon to be aired telemovie about her father’s life just strikes me as being well written, insightful, sensitive and just plain classy.
