I agree with Windsor’s argument that we shouldn’t go to church expecting to get a particular God-buzz feeling – or as I heard it expressed elsewhere today, a “liver shiver.”
But I also can’t help pointing out that where you use the word “worship” to describe what we do at church on Sundays, Lionel avoids it, preferring the Sydney-Anglican term “gathering”.
Use of the word ‘gathering’ is standard Matthias Media publishing convention.
In contexts like this article I don’t take notice any more.
