As mentioned yesterday, here is the proposed itinerary for our trip.

Purpose: to encourage a newly emerging Presbyterian church; to respond to a call to help from the nearest Presbyterian Church to our shores (East Timor’s capital Dili is closer to Darwin than Melbourne is to Sydney); to investigate the possibility of formally entering into partnership with the EPC-TL

Friday 17: Arrive at Dili Airport 6.45am. (Yes AM, we have to be at the Darwin airport by 4.30am) Go to Hotel Tourismo. Visit Liquiçá district (Congregation in Liquiçá town, Loes and Leurema). Back to Hotel. (Sleep.)
Saturday 18: Visiting Emera district (Congregation in Gleno Town and Matata). Back to Dili.
Sunday 19: Attend church service in Dili. Robert is preaching (and doing whatever else he’s asked to). Visiting Kaisabe congregation. Dinner at Arlindo’s.
Monday 20: Visiting Aileu district (Congregations of Paulo, Samaria and Golgota). Back to Dili.
Tuesday – Thursday 21-23: Visiting Same district (Congregations of Emmanuel Same, Betano, Simpantiga, Besusu). Visiting also district of Ainaro. Back to Dili.
Friday 24: Wrap up.
Saturday 25: Back to Australia
Sunday 26: Time in Darwin. Worship with the Darwin Presbyterian Church.
Moday 27: Home to Sydney for Robert and Mount Gambier for Gary.

Visiting team on behalf of the Australian Presbyterian World Mission is: Gary Ware (South Australian Moderator and minister of Mt Gambier congregation; Rob Duncanson (Convener of the Presbyterian Inland Mission Committee and minister of the Darwin congregation; Robert Benn (Moderator General of the PCA).
