Sang a lovely selection of hymns at Ann Street Presbyterian this morning, and Ye Servants Of God was among them.
The visiting US family didn’t seem to be familiar with it (or a couple of the others) but it brought back many memories.
I have to confess to probably knowing it better to the tune HANOVER, rather than the tune LAUDATE DOMINUM which was used today, but I’d learned LAUDATE DOMINUM as it seems to be the preferred accompaniment whenever the song features on Songs Of Praise.

The lyrics:

Ye servants of God, your Master proclaim,
and publish abroad his wonderful name;
the name all-victorious of Jesus extol;
his kingdom is glorious and rules over all.

God rules in the height, almighty to save;
though hid from our sight, his presence we have;
the great congregation his triumph shall sing,
ascribing salvation to Jesus our King.
