Sermon text: Hebrews 11:8-22
With a brief survey of Abraham’s life, including examples from his family, the writer demonstrates that faith in God’s promises has always involved actions in life that are not dependent upon seeing the fullness of the promise. He further demonstrates how this faith spans generations, each one growing from the testimony of those who came before.
The writer bids us consider how the promises of God give shape to the priorities and purposes of our lives.
After the sermon there will a presentation by a representative from Gideons International.
After our pastoral prayer and the giving of our tithes and offerings worship will conclude as we sing Standing On The Promises.
