Our Sunday bulletin has had a static design for years now.
I keep thinking about modifying the design, so this post was interesting.
I’m not an original designer, usually I borrow elements I like from other places, change them to the point of not being recognisable, and then use them.
Over time I’ve considered the value of colour. Perhaps getting paper pre-printed with some detail and putting it through the copier for the weekly information. But I think that good design in black and white is probably enough.
As a church we have a split between people who access information digitally and those who don’t.
So our bulletin will still be information dense for the time being.
I appreciated the general thought of considering who the primary target of the bulletin is.

Rich Birch examines a bunch of bulletins and offers observations about strengths and opportunities for development.
