How Blessed Are Those Above Reproach (Psalm 119:1-8) and I Will Glory In My Redeemer are the songs of preparation, with God, Whose Almighty Word beginning worship.
After the welcome and announcements our prayer of adoration and confession will remember the mighty acts of God in our own lives, and look to them as markers of the goodness and grace we receive in Jesus.
My Faith Looks Up To See, Heidelberg Catechism Q&A 1, and Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow are our testimony of faith and assurance.
From God’s Word, John 5:1-18 recounts Jesus’ authority and the witnesses to His identity.
As we give thanks to God for Himself and His goodness, we’ll sing 10,000 Reasons.
After hearing Hebrews 8:7-13, the sermon will consider the new and better covenant. The weakness of the first covenant was not in God, but in humans. God ensures the new covenant will never fail by changing people internally. The change within brings a loving response of obedience which the old covenant could not. The new covenant will never fail, because it is guaranteed by the life of Jesus and the forgiveness which we have through him.
Responding to God’s Word, we welcome Tommy Murcott, Joshua Murcott and Peter Ware into membership.
After the pastoral prayer we’ll give our tithes and offerings then conclude worship singing All My Days.
