We live in an age where everything is getting faster, and I’m sure that affects our capacity to wait.
I marvel at how rapidly and frequently information can be relayed and shared, but the news for which we are waiting comes no more quickly.
Jozua continues in a stable, yet serious, condition.
The swelling of his brain, though controlled, is still an issue.
The condition of his lungs is another area of critical attention.
Amid the ongoing concern preparations are being made for him being brought out of sedation.
Part of that preparation involves being aware that he may be very different in temperament, nature and capacities to the boy who left for school just a few days ago.
That awareness leads to its own concerns and uncertainties.
But those uncertainties are tempered by a greater unwavering conviction.
John 11 has been a comfort to the family.
“Lord, he whom you love is ill.”
But when Jesus heard it he said, “This illness does not lead to death. It is for the glory of God, so that the Son of God may be glorified through it.
