David Ward at Thousand Tongues (formerly Reformed Praise) has just released Do Not Fear.
Ward and chief collaborator Jake Armerding present fourteen modern hymns which thematically explore that seasons where doubt and grief are experienced are also times where grace abounds.
Lyrics are thoughtful and poetic.
Vocals are earnest and strong.
Instrumental accompaniment is polished and not overwhelming.
Musical styles vary across the tracks, again providing hints how different churches might make us of these songs.
The download is available at bandcamp with a CD release pending.
I received my download copy as a kickstarter reward for backing production of the album.
