Firm Foundation is an uptempo song we sing once or twice a year.
Some good truths, easily singable, and call and repeat verses, which is a bit of a change, with the chorus getting a key change toward the end. While this is usually a sign that the song has run out of puff, in this case the chorus can carry it, if not overused.

Chorus:
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I know I can stand secure
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I put my hope in your Holy Word
I put my hope in your Holy Word
VERSE 1:
I have a living hope (echo)
I have a future (echo)
God has a plan for me (echo)
Of this I’m sure,
Of this I’m sure.
Chorus:
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I know I can stand secure
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I put my hope in your Holy Word
I put my hope in your Holy Word
VERSE 2:
Your Word is faithful (echo)
Mighty in power (echo)
God has delivered me (echo)
Of this I’m sure,
Of this I’m sure
Chorus:
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I know I can stand secure
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I put my hope in your Holy Word
I put my hope in your Holy Word
Repeat chorus with key change:
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I know I can stand secure
Jesus you’re my firm foundation
I put my hope in your Holy Word
I put my hope in your Holy Word

Words and Music by Jamie Harvill and Nancy Gordon
This is the recorded version of the song that I basically have in my head when I sing it.
