At their OZWords blog, the Australian National Dictionary Centre are featuring some of the words and phrases that have been submitted to their Word Box, an online portal which invites the submission of newly minted terms.
Among this batch are ‘awks’, ‘whatevs’ and ‘captain’s pick’, which I have run into, and others with which I was unfamiliar: ‘kangatarian,’ ‘mamil,’ ‘spite tree’ and few more.
