Judy Rowlands of AussieESL is conducting an ESL (English as a Second Language) Ministry Training Course in Adelaide during August.
Judy has multiple qualifications in teaching languages and is a member of Caringbah Presbyterian Church.
The Presbyterian Church of South Australia welcome her to conduct this training and commend it to everyone.
The ADELAIDE ESL for Ministry Programme:
1. Thursday, 22nd August: 1.30-4.30pm – NO CHARGE.
A Special Session for Ministers and team/congregational leaders:
“ESL Ministry in your Church and Community”
We will also look at Cross Cultural Communication.
2. Friday, 23rd August: 9.30am – 4.30pm
2a) 9.30-12.30 – ESL Teaching and Ministry – Introductory Training: Basic Principles; Avoiding the Pitfalls; Teaching Beginners.
2b) 1.30-4.30pm – ESL Ministry: Further Teacher Training, Part 1: Communicative Activities; Conversational English; Optimising Learning for ALL; God’s BIG Plan.
3. Saturday, 24th August: 9:00am-3.30pm
3a) 9.00-12.00 – ESL Teaching and Ministry – Introductory Training Part 2:Starting Out in ESL Ministry; Examining a Highly Recommended Text; Practice Sessions in Small Groups.
3b) 12.45pm-3.30pm – ESL Ministry – Further Teacher Training, Part 2: ESL Bible Studies & Discipleship; Teaching Different Levels, especially Advanced Students; Watching Classes in Action (on DVD).
