Habakkuk has listened to God’s reply to his questions and composes an everyday song about the trustworthiness of God in extraordinary times.
As The Deer and God Himself Is Present are the songs of preparation, with Humble Thyself / Awesome God as our opening song.
The prayer of adoration and confession will focus on God’s perfect nature and all the ways we experience Him. I Hear Your Welcome Voice, Heidelberg Q&A 1, and May The Grace Of Christ Our Saviour are the affirmations.
Jeremiah 28:1-17 deals with the denunciation of a false prophet, and As Pants The Deer For Water Brooks continues our singing of Psalm 42.
Habakkuk 3:1-19 will be read and then we’ll look at the song of response which Habakkuk composed in response to God’s answers to his questions. When circumstances find us surrounded by adversity with no physical confirmations of His blessing we trust in the relationship which he has established with us, in His being true to Himself, and in the all-surpassing joy of His salvation.
After our prayers of thanksgiving and for the needs of others, we’ll give our tithes and offerings, then conclude our worship singing When It’s All Been Said And Done.
