There’s nothing like seeing a more exaggerated version of yourself in order to see where you’re going wrong.
Israelites: meet the Chaldeans.
God’s people today: meet ???

O My Soul Arise And Bless Your Maker and Come Now, Almighty King are our songs of preparation. Worship begins with Light Of The World / Here I Am To Worship.
Our prayer of adoration and confession will recall the fatherly care of God how He faithfully calls us back to Himself time and again.Jesus Loves Me, The Apostles’ Creed and Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow are will be our corporate testimony.
Jeremiah 27 complements the theme of Habakkuk where we see God commands concerning the yoke of the Babylonians. Listen To My Words, O LORD (Psalm 5) will be a song of response.
After reading Habakkuk 2: 2-20 we’ll begin by considering the certainty of God’s response to Habakkuk, then go on to learn about the means that God uses to call His people back to faithfulness. Though we don’t have Babylonians or Romans today, God continues to call us to appreciate the futility of rebellion against Him.
After our prayers of thanksgiving and for the needs of others, we’ll give our tithes and offerings, then conclude our worship singing What A Wonderful Change In My Life.
