The God of creation is not distant from His people as they endure an age in which faith is marginalised and civil authorities inept.
Welcome to the age of Habakkuk; hear how the Word he received from God speaks to his age and to ours.

Preparation for worship in song will come from O God Show Mercy To Us (Psalm 67), which is set to the stirring tune Thaxted, an adaption of a melody composed by Gustav Holst. Worship begins as we sing Crown Him With Many Crowns.
Our prayer of adoration and confession will express praise for God’s all-surpassing nature and seek His forgiveness for the times we lose focus on Him and act as if our lives were really all about us.
The song of testimony is the very basic Stop! Go! Watch!, which sums up in very memorable terms how God has saved us, describes our mission as disciples, and expresses what our future hope is. We’ll then recite the Apostle’s Creed and sing Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.
Jeremiah 23:23-40 continues God’s denunciation of false prophets, those who presume to speak on God’s behalf without revelation. Our response of praise will be There Is A Redeemer, as we thank the faithfulness of God in His promised work of redemption.
After the reading of Habakkuk 1:1-11, we’ll consider verse 1 as an introduction to Habakkuk, his times, and the nature of God’s revelation to him and how that revelation applies to us today.
Responding to the grace of God; we’ll sing Amazing Grace, share the Lord’s Supper, offer our prayers of thanksgiving (particularly for Mothers) and for the needs of others, give our tithes and offerings, then conclude our worship with the song Behold Our God (at which I’ll striving to get the right number of ‘He will reign forever’ in this time).
