Congratulation to David Johnstone on producing findapresbyterianchurch.com which will help you locate the nearest Presbyterian church, with map and basic details, and also suggest other churches close by.
It seems to be in the beta+ stage at the moment.
Keeping an up to date data base will be a trick.
A phone app would be a cracker.

Thanks for the plug. I’m David, the maker of that site.
Keeping the database up to date isn’t too hard — I can regenerate/refresh the data my site uses with a single command. The bigger problem is that the quality of the data in the official database isn’t great — I’ve had a few reports of incorrect data, and between church names like “Hamilton (Vic), St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church” and “Grace Presbyterian Church Presbyterian Church”, missing websites and contact details, and assorted other bits of old, wrong, and/or missing data, there’s room for improvement.
Oh, and the site is designed (at least, it is now) to work properly on mobile devices. It’s not quite the same as having an app, but it’s a lot easier to have a good mobile website than to have to write apps for iPhone, Android and potentially others, and for many things (including this site) an app is barely better than a good website.
Thanks for dropping by David.
There’s a link to your site on the front of the newly refurbished Presbyterian Church of South Australia site and I see Mike Wharton has linked you on the PCA site as well.
There’s an icon for FaPCiA on my iPhone and it did indeed suggest mgpc when I asked it to use my location and find a nearby church.
And yeah, if you can change our service time from 10.00 to 9.30 and add 5.30pm as well and delete Allendale from the database altogether, that’d be great.
And BTW, I swiped your idea for indexing sermons from the Hawthorn Presbyterian site and used it on the mgpc one.
Thanks.
Gary.
