Last year mgpc tripled its Sunday School attendance.
This came about because we adopted a Sunday morning practice of having Sunday School after our morning worship.
It has come to be important to us in understanding and practice that gathering for worship on Sunday is not the equivalent of TAFE (with good coffee), and having part of the covenant community absent during worship was not our preferred practice.
It was a long time coming, but we got there.
So, we worship God as a covenant community, and then to show how important we believe learning from God’s Word is, we gather into classes framed around different age groups.
We’re learning about how to best carry out this practice, and this year should be even more encouraging than last year’s experience.
Anyway, that’s an extended way of introducing the latest IXMarks eJournal which is subtitled: Don’t Be Too Cool For Sunday School. Head over to check out the introduction and book reviews along with these articles.
