Read (and got sort of involved in) a comment stream on another blog last week that developed because of the difference between an author’s use of tone and what happens when readers don’t interpret a text using the intended tone.
I bailed out when the discussion came to be more about the tone issue than the original issue at hand.
I thought of that post (and particularly the comment stream) when I saw this cartoon from Dork Tower.
