It had been too long since we last sang Graham Kendrick’s Amazing Love / My Lord What Love Is This. So we did tonight.
I wish this was Kendrick’s most well known and widely sung song.
This is beautiful.
The lyrics:
1.
My Lord, what love is this
That pays so dearly
That I, the guilty one
May go free!
Chorus.
Amazing love, O what sacrifice
The Son of God given for me
My debt he pays, and my death he dies
That I might live, that I might live
2.
And so they watched him die
Despised, rejected
But oh, the blood he shed
Flowed for me!
Chorus.
3.
And now, this love of Christ
Shall flow like rivers
Come wash your guilt away
Live again!
Chorus.
Amazing love, O what sacrifice
The Son of God given for me
My debt he pays, and my death he dies
That I might live, that I might live
(Last time only) That I might live!

This is a track off an old Integrity Album lead by Kendrick.
Funny how Integrity’s stuff from the early nineties sounds a bit overproduced these days.
Contemporary music is a fickle mistress.
