The view from my study at mgpc, across our back yard (yes, all that land belongs to us… yes, we know it’s a lot of land to have just sitting there…) if you squint and look just above center and to the left of the image you can see a sign in the field on the other side of the main road.

What does the sign say? Mount Gambier is getting a shopping center that is not in the central business district of town. That is something different, as well as something new. It will certainly move a significant amount of the town’s commercial activity to the area of town where our church’s building is located.
Something new isn’t always embraced by a country town.
Local progress association president, Mr Hanrahan, commented: ‘We’ll all be rooned.’
A chamber of commerce representative observed: ‘Hanrahan’s an optimist’.
We’ll see.
