A couple of blogs I read recommended the album ‘Barton Hollow’ by folk duo The Civil Wars (which was available as a daily special on Amazon).
Sadly Amazon music downloads are not available in Australia, but I did find the album available for download from The Civil Wars’ own webstore for US$7.99.

Spare and evocative acoustic arrangements, with vocal harmonies that range between soulful and ethereal, this duo is getting a bit of notice around the traps.
Well worth a listen to.
