There are ninety-one question marks in the first nineteen page chapter of Rob Bell’s book, Love Wins.
Plus one more because the chapter title is also a question: What about the flat tire?
The question alludes to a scenario in which people never hear the gospel and are lost forever simply because the missionary has a flat tire and never gets to meet them.
His questions are interesting because they seem to echo many that those of a calvinistic and reformed inclination have been posing toward contemporary arminians for some time.
Yet his answer does not seem to be cast in a God who sovereignly chooses, but a God who accepts through His son in many ways.
Anyway, Bell writes this is not a book about questions, but answers.
