From 60 Minutes on CBS News: Endless Memory, Parts 1 and 2 – Lesley Stahl reports on the recently discovered phenomenon of “superior autobiographical memory,” the ability to recall nearly every day of one’s life.
Beyond being a fascinating gift/skill, what does it mean if the information that these few can access is stored in all our brains? Could understanding the condition lead to treatments for those suffering degenerative illnesses which rob even the normal levels of memory of some?
