We closed worship with ‘There Is A Redeemer’ at mgpc this morning.
It’s a simple statement of worship punctuated by the trinitarian chorus. The final verse’s expectation of eternity in God’s presence gives it a positive conclusion.
Melody Green is credited with the words and music, the song achieving its original popularity by being performed and recorded by her husband Keith.
The arrangement we use has the chorus sung after each verse.

Here’s the lyrics, downloadable sheet music can be purchased here.
1.
There is a redeemer
Jesus God’s own Son
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah,
Holy One
Chorus:
Thank you Oh my Father
For giving us your Son
and leaving your spirit till
The work on earth is done
2.
Jesus my redeemer
Name above all names
Precious Lamb of God, Messiah
Oh for sinners slain
Chorus:
3.
When I stand in glory
I will see His face
There I’ll serve my King forever
In that Holy place
Chorus:
