We’ve been having some rough weather, especially over the last 24 hours.
The town of Penola, 50kms to the north of Mount Gambier even had a tornado last night.
Here is a link to a photo gallery of damage from the News Limited website Adelaide Now.
Here’s the link to their story, as well.
Many folk down here in the Mount have family and friends in this neighboring town.
Our prayers and sympathies are for those who have suffered due to this damage.
For those who are interested, I understand that there was no damage to the Presbyterian property. (Given the state of their presently empty manse, this is a bit of a shame. Maybe if we snuck back up there tonight when no-one’s looking with a bull dozer and pretend another tornado struck.)

Notable among the comments on the story is this one:

I hope everyone in Penola is ok and still has a home. I blame the Advertiser for their “Holy Penola” cover on the SA Weekend Magazine. I thought it was quite tacky when I saw it this morning. Apparently I’m not the only one.

Margaret said that someone further down the comment thread agrees with them.
It it any wonder people think Christians are idiots.
