The new chairs at mgpc.
Don’t fret, by the magic of specific trusts no money was diverted from ministry or mission for this.

And here’s what is really important about these chairs.

They look terrific. What a nice bright space you have.

That was with the lights off and taken with an iPhone.
We do need good light, our walls are a grey cement brick, the carpet is dark and the ceiling is finished pine.
It drinks up light like there’s no tomorrow.
We’ve ended up with three flood lights to supplement our original lighting.
A few years ago we replaced the bulbs with bright low wattage lights.
Again, this is the sort of stuff that never got mentioned at theological college.
I do appreciate that we have such a good room to meet in.

  2. Very nice. We have the same ones at our church in North Wales.

All the way from China to separate ends of the world.
They look much better with people sitting upon them.
Happily enough all the comment today was positive.
Not even a (serious) remark about them not being ‘Presbyterian blue’.
Now we find ourselves in the used pew market.

The new chairs with people in them look better than the new chairs empty.
