The position of Moderator-General of the Presbyterian Church is voted on by a nominating committee comprised of GAA officers and delegates nominated by the State Churches.
Nominations for the position of Moderator-General are made by State Assemblies.
This time there are two nominees for the position, with the person elected to serve as Moderator of the 2016 General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Australia and continue in office for the following triennium.

Rev. David Burke
David’s ministry history includes: Henty 1979-83; West Strathfield 1983-89; NSW Director Christian Education 1989-1999; PT Lecturer, Presbyterian Theological Centre (New South Wales) 1981-99; Singapore PC 1999-2011; PTC (now Christ College) Lecturer 2011-. David also presently coordinates a ministry training project in Timor Leste.
David is married to Glenda, with whom he has three adult children and five grandchildren.
Rev. John Wilson
John’s ministry history includes: Numurkah 1981-84; Reservoir 1984-95; Kangaroo Ground 1995-98; Presbyterian Theological College (Victoria) 1998-2009; Clerk of Assembly, Presbyterian Church of Victoria 2007-. For several years John has undertaken several preaching trips to Zambia and short term mission trips to Malawi.
John is married to Paula and has three adult children.
Voting takes place by mail, and will close on May 31.
An announcement about the result will probably be made after June 1.
Pray for both men in their ongoing service to the church, and preparedness to undertake the role of Moderator-General.
Pray for those who will participate in the ballot to determine the next Moderator-General of the PCA.
