Tim Keller is a presbyterian pastor from the USA.
He planted Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York, and, flowing from the growth of that church he has become an author and head of a church planting network called City To City.
His sermons are listened to worldwide.
While he’s in Sydney for a series of conferences this week, the Presbyterian Church of Australia has organised a luncheon at which Keller is the guest of honour.
At the Sydney Opera House.
Under a marquee.
Something like this has ever been done before.
It represents a stunning investment and statement by the PCA in the importance of church planting, and our absolute seriousness about the vitality of relationships being fostered that are working in partnership towards local churches being planted, and existing churches being vitally involved in that essential work.
Further reports through the day.
