Yesterday’s post managed to elicit a comment from a friend from Melbourne relating that their Presbytery had been told that David Cook has been elected to serve as Moderator-General of the 2013 Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Australia.
David is currently part-time assistant to the minister of the Chinese Presbyterian Church in Sydney, having served an extended term as Principal of the Sydney Missionary and Bible College.
As my friend Andrew commented, prayer for David and his wife Maxine over the twelve months until the Assembly and then for the three years following is needed across the church.
I’m sure some general official form of notification will be forthcoming.
Really.
