For those of you who enjoyed Andrew Peterson’s ‘Behold The Lamb Of God‘ last Christmas, Peterson commends his single ‘Dancing In The Minefields’ from his latest album ‘Counting Stars’ as fine Valentines Day fare.
Margaret and I were engaged to be married on February 13, 1982 (couldn’t wait one more day) and we’ve been dancing in the minefield for 29 years since.
(Metaphorically. I don’t dance.)
Among the beautiful lyrics of this song, one line that always catches me is when Peterson sings “When I forget my name, remind me.” This is a life long committment, in sickness and in health.
