Here at mgpc we remember our former pastor, Rod Waterhouse, heading to St John’s Presbyterian Church in Hobart to serve as associate pastor back in 2004.
Well Rod and the team in Hobart have called a new senior pastor to succeed Rob White in just a few weeks.
Go here and let Alastair Bain tell you all about how it happened.
God’s blessing on this new season of ministry.

Wow – that’s a pretty amazing development even if just for the fact that Mr Bain has been ordained in the PCA for less than a year and I believe has never been a senior minister in a parish. St John’s Hobart must have been very impressed by his person and abilities over the years that he was involved with them. This appointment is yet more evidence of the dynamic nature of church life in Tasmania. Thanks Gary for announcing it.

It excites me when strongly established congregations seek out the best men they can find, not in order to maintain a status quo, but in order to press forward and outward with Gospel work.
