The outgoing committee of the P.W.A. was received. The members of this executive are all part of the Queensland Unit. President Mrs. Heather Ross; Senior Vice-President Ailsa Kelly; Secretary Mrs Betty Gadsby; and Treasurer Miss Beth Knowles.

Outgoing President Mrs Heather Ross, (an old friend, Heather and I both share the same home church) presented the Federal Report to the Moderator General and spoke about some of the activities of the Presbyterian Women’s Association across Australia. Camps, conferences and other opportunities for ladies to serve Christ at home and abroad were referenced.
Latterly, Bible Study groups and Craft groups have become a focus to gather ladies together. The Presbyterian Inland Mission have been a substantial interest of the PWA, with the NSW PWA directing funds from their Market Day to purchase a camper/trailer for use by a PIM padres.
The work of the PWA in the various States and the PWMU in Victoria covers a much greater breadth of fellowship, support and Gospel work that can be referenced in a report such as this.
Colossians 3:14 “And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony” has been the theme text for the Queensland group who have served as the national executive over the last three years.
A team united by prayer, praise and love have dedicated themselves to service and the cause of the Gospel. As this group conclude their term of service concludes there are feelings of sadness and satisfaction, along with a sense of anticipation for the incoming executive from Western Australia.
Incoming President Mrs Thatcher introduced the new executive, which hails from Western Australia. I’ll try and get the other names later.

Rev. Joy Bartholomew led the house in prayer.
The Assembly expressed its appreciation for the work of the PWA (and PWMU) and commended the incoming executive.
