If you have an interest in publication design, fonts or logos you might find Todd Klein’s blog of interest.
Klein has been involved in the production of logo design and lettering (placement of text over the artwork) for US comic book publishers for over 25 years. He is a keen student of the history of font design and calligraphy, which has recently undergone a transition from hand-drawn artwork to computer composed production.
Even if comic books are not your thing, Klein’s analysis of the development of various comic book logos (some for over sixty years) is insightful and educative.
