Jesus in on the cross.
He knows that He will be raised within 72 hours.
Mary, His mother, and John, His beloved friend, are there.
Jesus institutes a family relationship between them, right there and then.
Why?
What can we learn about the kingdom from this new family, formed at the foot of the cross?
