Tullian Tchividjian relates an anecdote where four friends and colleagues in ministry visit for mutual fellowship and encouragement.
It features a photo of Tchividjian’s book laden bedside table, posted in the hope that those of us with similar habits can show the image to our wives and “maybe, just maybe, they’ll not only have great sympathy for my wife, Kim, but they may not bug you as much.”
I wouldn’t count on it.

I have a strong memory of Ron Clark telling us in college that he would have the melancholy duty of sorting through the theological libraries of deceased ministers.
He commented that often he could see when they stopped thinking in their ministries.
After one year or another no newer books appeared amongst their collections.
Here’s to reading good, biblical, God-honouring and thought provoking books published in 2010 and beyond.
