The Gospel Coalition is not a new website, but it has just be relaunched and revamped. (How does something get ‘vamped’ in the first instance?)
In addition, Justin Taylor’s unbelievably useful website/blog ‘Between Two Worlds‘ has now taken up residence at the Gosple Coalition Site, so there is every reason to visit often, pretty much every day.
Who is the Gospel Coalition? Well, the ‘About’ page starts their description by saying: ‘We are a group of (mostly) pastors and churches in the Reformed heritage who delight in the truth and power of the gospel, and who want the gospel of Christ crucified and resurrected to lie at the center of all we cherish, preach, and teach.’
Names? You want names? There are fifty members on the Council. But R. Kent Hughes, Mark Driscoll, Don Carson, Mark Dever, C.J. Mahaney, Philip Ryken, Tim Keller, John Piper, Albert Mohler, Alastair Begg, Josh Harris, Scotty Smith and Ligon Duncan point to the profile, giftedness and breadth of those involved in the movement.
What’s on the site?
In addition to the above mentioned ‘Between Two Worlds’ there are links to the blogs of the various council members along with other complementary sites.
Resources include links to over 1800 online free seminary courses, a Don Carson bibiography along with Sermons; Articles; Books; Courses; Interviews; Conference Messages; Online Books; and Book Reviews..
Publications features the online theological journal ‘Themelios’, now published for download by the Gospel Coalition.
News about Conferences and ‘The TGC Network’ are also featured.
I’m going to try and sign up to the TGC Network and see what that does.
So, what are you waiting for?
As of today The Gospel Coalition joins the website listing and the new address for Between Two Worlds will be updated on the blogroll.
